2. Two University of Alaska Fairbanks professors of political science say passage of Ballot Measure 2 likely would further polarize Alaska politics.
3. Democratic state Senator Scott Kawasaki is hanging on to a sliver of a lead over Republican challenger Leslie Hadjukovich in the Fairbanks-area Senate District P race.
4. Alaska will have five new air-cargo carriers flying into the state soon, and they’ll land mostly at the Anchorage airport. But cargo-handling has increased at the Fairbanks airport as well.
